It is a great pleasure to welcome Shannon
Stewart Hall to the staff
of FBCG as Director of Family Ministries and
Worship, which means
she will be both an education minister and
the minister of music.
Her Baptist roots began in Catawba county
where she was born
to a Baptist deacon choir member and a
church organist. Music was
part of her DNA and would always influence
her direction in life.
Shannon received a BA in English and a minor in music
from
Converse College in SC where she met David Hall.
They married and
went on to the Baptist Theological Seminary in New
Orleans, where she
received a master’s degree in Christian Education
and he received a
master of divinity degree. Shannon also received
another master’s degree from
the University of New Orleans and David received a
master’s in public health
from Tulane.
Shannon has served in several churches in the music
ministry and in
working with youth and families. David is now
working for the state of North Carolina
in public health. They have three children:
Jonathan, 12, Chloe, 8, and
Caroline, 2 years old. They live in Mebane. Be sure
to give them a great big welcome!
